Are you new to Aarhus and looking for a way to connect with locals and discover your new home through fun, meaningful experiences?
Then Aarhus Explorers is just what you need!

What is Aarhus Explorers?
Aarhus Explorers is a community of international and Danish students who come together to explore Aarhus, build friendships, and create unforgettable memories. The programme is designed for full-degree international students at Aarhus University and is coordinated by Studenterhus Aarhus in collaboration with the International Centre.

Once you join, you’ll become a member of the Aarhus Explorers community and be matched with one of our Danish student ambassadors — friendly locals who are excited to share their life in Aarhus with you!!

What can you look forward to?
Each month, you’ll be invited to take part in a social or cultural event — from game nights and local traditions to cultural visits and seasonal celebrations. There will also be spontaneous pop-up activities throughout the year, depending on what the community wants to explore!

Here’s a sneak peek at the autumn 2025 programme:
– 21 September: Social Kick-Off at Studenterhus Aarhus
– 23 October: Cultural activity in the city
– 19 November: Visit to ‘Jul i Den Gamle By’ (Christmas in the Old Town)
– 11 December: Christmas Dinner
- And many other pop-up events all year!

Spots are limited, don’t miss out!
With a limited number of ambassadors, we can only welcome a set number of participants. However, the sign-up will be available all year, so you can join at any time!

How do I join?
To become a member of the Aarhus Explorers community, there is a small participation fee. This gives you access to the full programme of events — and helps support the activities and experiences we’ll share throughout the year.
