Trip to Skagen

Experience the northernmost part of Denmark - where two seas collide, the sand wanders, the houses are charming, and internationally acclaimed Danish painters recreated the sky on canvas.

This day trip will take you to Grenen, the very tip of Denmark, the renowned Skagen Museum as well as a true oddity of Danish nature: a migrating desert. There will also be time to enjoy the picturesque town of Skagen and explore a WWII bunker.

SCHEDULE:

09:00: Departure from the Student House.

12:00 Arrival at Grenen, here we will walk to see the seas collide, dapple a bit in the water and take in the view. In small groups we will visit a WWII bunker close by and sense the history.

13:30: Departure for Skagen Town

13:45: Arrival Skagen: Here we will see masterpieces of the Skagen painters, hang out in picturesque Skagen town and eat lunch:

Note: You will be divided into two groups to see the museum, group one will go at 14:00, group two at 16:00, while the other group enjoys the town.

17.05 Departure for Råbjerg Mile – play in the dunes, enjoy the sites.

18:30 Departure from Råbjerg Mile to Aarhus. talk about your adventures, maybe take a nap.

21:00 (approx.) Arrival at the Student House and home.
