Most of our civilisations began with farming and cultivation. And with every harvest comes a celebration — of food, gratitude, and togetherness. Thanksgiving, the Mid-Autumn Festival, Harvest Festival, Samhain, and Dożynki are just a few examples of how people mark the season around the world.
Food has always been a gateway to culture. What do you eat at festive gatherings?
This November, Culture Meets invites you to a cosy potluck dinner — a communal evening of eating, sharing, and storytelling about our favourite cultural dishes. Just like home.
Date: November 26th
Time: 18:30 – 21:30 (doors open at 18:00)
Place: Studiecaféen, Studenterhus Aarhus
How to Join
You can either:
While we encourage vegan-friendly meals, everything is welcome on the table!
You can bring anything (that can be eaten, of course!) — from starters to desserts. Cookies? Dumplings? It’s up to you!
You can heat up food in our café, but since there’s only one microwave, we recommend dishes that can be served cold.
Drinks can be purchased from our café, and we’ll also serve a special seasonal drink on the day (stay tuned for details!).
Event starts at 18:30, but you’re welcome to come from 18:00 to heat up your food and settle in.
Don’t forget to bring your tupperware — if there’s food left, we’ll give our meals a second chance!
