12:00: We meet at Studenterhus Aarhus.
14:00: Arrival in Ribe, where we will go together to the cathedral and climb the tower to get the best view of the town. After this you are free to explore the town on your own or with the group.
The town is full of historical sights and charming houses . This is also a good time to find an early dinner.
17:15: Short trip with the bus to the Wadden Sea.
17:30: An experienced guide will show us the Wadden Sea - and hopefully we will be able to see the incredible phenomenon of Starling Magic.
19:45: Short bus trip back to Ribe
20:00: We walk the rounds with the Ribe Watchman who will light the lights and tell stories of the old town.
21:00: Departure from Ribe
It is advised to bring some snacks, proper footwear and warm clothes!
Please note that the trip may be subject to minor changes, and that since we are unfortunately not gods of nature and starlings do what they want, there is no guarantee to see them. The Wadden Sea however is worth visiting with or without the birds, and there will be an experienced guide with us.
We take all precautions to prevent the spread of covid-19, but we need your help.
You are required to wear face masks in the bus (we will provide one for you).
Please remember to:
- Wash your hands frequently or sanitise your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub.
- Cough or sneeze into your sleeve - not your hands.
- Limit physical contact – avoid handshakes, refuse kisses on the cheek and avoid hugging.
- Be diligent with cleaning – at home and at work.
- Keep your distance and ask others to be considerate.
- Stay at home and contact your doctor if you’re feeling sick.
